Moving Back to the Shore

Moving Back to the Shore

Dear Friends,

What a summer so far! Being able to see each other in worship, being able to make plans for meetings, classes and Sunday school to come back on campus in August, and getting to be in-person for a camp season has been soul filling to say the least! I hope that you are finding ways of recharging your batteries with the easing of restrictions and the lowering of the pandemic anxiety levels.

In our effort to slowly move back on campus, I am excited to be able to offer two Friday Night Feasts with an in-person option. The first on August 13, you are invited to take advantage of El Prado Park and plan to picnic with your dinner and friends while feasting on tri-tip and grilled chicken (with potato salad, fruit salad, garlic bread and Nutella-banana parfaits). One more meal on the 20th – a burrito bar with lots of add-ons from which to choose. Then in September, we will open the social hall for in-person eating for anyone who has been fully vaccinated (limited numbers at each table please). This is a wonderful opportunity to invite a friend for a delicious meal and to meet your church family.

Another great opportunity to invite a friend will be our First Sunday BBQ and Picnic! Every first Sunday, beginning on September 5, we will pull out the new church grill to cook up some tasty burgers and dogs with yummy side dishes and drinks for a church family picnic in the park. BYOB (bring your own blanket, or chair) and let Pastor Stacy know if you are interested in helping with these monthly social events.

We are moving back to the shore after the great storm that we have been enduring and I encourage you to have faith that God will get us all the way back and stronger than ever.

Blessings, Pastor Stacy
