Each of these giving options are available through the online portal (above) and the Mobil app (download options below), and can be used for one-time gifts at any time, or as a recurring donation.Operating Budget: General operating budget of Torrance First, and is the default giving option.
Bake Sale: Use this fund to donate to the bake sales periodically held by the outreach team.
Toberman: This fund is used to support Toberman Neighborhood Center in San Pedro.
UMCOR Energencies: The donations given to the United Methodist Committee On Relief go directly to relief aid. Details at https://www.umcor.org
Alternative Christmas: See the Alternative Christmas Fair page for a description of the charities and the next fair dates.
Friends of the Organ: Help offset organ maintenance and repairs.
Apportionments: If you would like to give directly to offset our church apportionments.
Outreach Lunch: Give to this fund to support our long running Outreach Lunch program.
Communion: Use this to give to the communion offering.
UMCOR Sunday: Previously called, “One Great Hour of Sharing,” on UMCOR Sunday the United Methodist Church raises funds that covers the administrative costs for UMCOR Relief efforts. Details at UMCOR Sunday.
Flowers: Give to the Flowers fund to cover the cost of altar flowers for each Sunday.
Easter: Giving for Easter Sunday offering.
Thanksgiving: Giving for Thanksgiving offering.
Christmas: Giving for Christmas offering.
Food Basket: Gifts to this fund support Stillman Sawyer Family Services.
World Communion Sunday: This special offering supports World Communion Scholarships, the Ethnic Scholarship Program and the Ethnic In-Service Training Program of the General United Methodist Church. World Communion Sunday is the first week of October.
Other Special Sundays: This fund will be used for any of the Special Sunday giving sponsored by the Finance Committee.
Gene Gesch Memorial: Funds given in Gene’s name will go into the FUMC Torrance Endowment Fund that Gene started. This Fund is designed to give long term financial support to the ministries of the church.
