Opening Prayer
How lovely is your dwelling place,
     O Lord Almighty!
A dwelling place of your presence,
    With room enough for all.
We are blessed to worship in your Holy House,
     And blessed to be in worship all together.
Bless this space to be filled with Your presence
     Through Your word, our words, our prayers and our songs.
Amen.

Joys and Concerns, Pastoral Prayer

Pastoral Prayer
Holy One, we look in the mirror and we see the impact of the last two years. We see the lines from worry, the weariness from wondering, and the empty spaces that are left from those that we lost. May we find hope and healing by seeing your face in our own faces as we look in the mirror. May we see your Spirit slowly erasing the lines, easing the worries, and filling the spaces our loved ones left in our hearts. We know that healing is not an instantaneous process, so we ask for the healing to begin and for the patience to see it through. We pray this in your holy and healing name, amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and glory forever. Amen.

Offertory Prayer

We call to you, O Lord, to hear our hearts as we give thanks for the abundance that you have bestowed upon us. We pray that you will know our gratitude in receiving and our joy in giving, as we return a portion of what you have given to us. Bless these gifts to be your hands and feet, reaching in and through our congregation and our ministry to touch hearts, change lives, and heal the broken. May this not just be in the future, but may it be in the here and now, because of the mighty power of your Holy Spirit, through whom we pray, Amen.

Scripture Reading — Psalm 28 (NRSV)

1 To you, O LORD, I call;
my rock, do not refuse to hear me,
for if you are silent to me,
I shall be like those who go down to the Pit.
2 Hear the voice of my supplication,
as I cry to you for help,
as I lift up my hands
toward your most holy sanctuary.

3 Do not drag me away with the wicked,
with those who are workers of evil,

Prayer of Response
We believe in God the Father, infinite in wisdom, power and love, whose mercy is over all his works, and whose will is ever directed to his children’s good.

We believe in Jesus Christ, Son of God and Son of man, the gift of the Father’s unfailing grace, the ground of our hope, and the promise of our deliverance from sin and death.

We believe in the Holy Spirit as the divine presence in our lives, whereby we are kept in perpetual remembrance of the truth of Christ, and find strength and help in time of need.

We believe that this faith should manifest itself in the service of love as set forth in the example of our blessed Lord, to the end that the kingdom of God may come upon the earth.

Amen.

Benediction

Go now and praise the Lord of all creation. Praise the Lord with your whole being, knowing that all good and wonderful gifts come from the one who created us, redeemed us, and sustains us. May you find the love and grace of God overcoming you, washing away any sorrow and providing you with joy today, tomorrow and all the week through. Amen.
