Opening Prayer
Lord we come, hungry for you and thirsting for the good news of your Word. We come in person, and we come online as one body, united by your Holy Spirit. As we enter physically, mentally, and spiritually into this place, draw us into your presence through our worship and through your generous table. For this we seek with praise and thanksgiving, amen.

Joys and Concerns, Pastoral Prayer

Pastoral Prayer
Creating God, you formed our earthly home with your hands, and you breathed life into our being with your Spirit. We are intricately woven into you through your Spirit, and you know our brokenness while feeling our pains. Hear our cries as we lift our broken world up to you. We are shattered by wars, poverty, natural disasters, and evil at the hands of those who love themselves more than others. Be present with all who are suffering, comfort all who are mourning, and change the hearts of those who are causing your beloved world to break and tear apart. Move in and through us with your Spirit to mend us, strengthen us and to use each one of us as your healing hands and hearts. We lift all up to you, the one who created all and loves all, amen.

The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power, and glory forever. Amen.

Offertory Prayer (1 Chronicles 29:10-13)

Praise be to you, Lord, the God of our father Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all. Overflowing with Thanksgiving

Affirmation of Faith (Apostles’ Creed)
I believe in God, the Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died, and was buried; he descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, is seated at the right hand of the Father, and will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.

Benediction

Children of God, rise from the Lord’s table with praise and thanksgiving, acknowledging the bounty of gifts that you have received from our Creator and Sustainer. Go with the expectation that God goes before you and with you, wherever you go. Together, as the church, we will rebuild and reestablish the Kingdom of God here on earth, as we have faith that it is in heaven. Go with strength and grace, amen.
