Greetings, Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
Near the end of a busy time at church I always proclaim that a slower season is coming and that I will be catching my breath, but after 11 years of ministry I have learned that there are no slow seasons of the church. Summer may be coming to a close, but a new season of church is about to launch and I am beyond excited for it. This month we will be kicking off a new year of church with a fun, Spirit-filled night on Friday, September 9. Bring your potluck dish at 6:00pm and be ready to worship and glorify God at 6:45pm. From there we will have Bible study time, fellowship time and even some arts and crafts time. This is for all ages and all levels of spirituality. The theme of the night is “I am” and we will discover who we are in God’s eyes.
On Sunday, September 11 we will have our Rally Sunday with the return of our choir, the blessing of backpacks, and the beginning of a new Sunday school year — with a new older elementary school class and a new, exciting curriculum. After the 9:30am worship service we will have a church lunch with burgers, hot dogs and fun. Wear red, white and blue to show your patriotism for this fun morning at church.
Catch your breath because God knows the plans he has for us and God will not disappoint us!
Blessings,
Pastor Stacy
