Happy November, friends and family!
This is the month that we intentionally give thanks for the blessings that we have, and we have many blessings to give thanks for. We just finished our annual Stewardship Campaign, “This is Why: The Reason We Are Here.” I give thanks for all those who helped make our Stewardship Campaign a warm, heartfelt, personal and meaningful worship experience. I also give thanks for all who turned in a pledge card to help with our 2019 ministry budget, as we are only able to be in ministry because of the gifts of time and offerings that you give. May God bless your 2019 as you bless God through your giving.
In the spirit of giving thanks, we will be giving thanks for our veterans on Sunday, November 11, in worship. I encourage you to invite veterans that you know to join us for worship, so that we can honor them and give thanks for the sacrifices that they made for all of us. The next Sunday, November 18, will be our Thanksgiving service and will be led by the laity of the church, as we give thanks for all of the lay staff and volunteers who make this ministry amazing. Join us in giving thanks for one another and lifting our thanksgiving to God in a very special way.
Finally, I would like to give a God-sized thank you to everyone who made our inaugural Organ Concert a wonderful and successful event as we celebrated the completion of the organ, consecrated it, and showed it off through our four incredible musicians who played it. I can’t wait for the next one!
May you have a blessed November, both in the blessings that you receive and in the blessings that you give, as we prepare for the Christmas season that is almost upon us.
Blessings, Pastor Stacy
