Staff-Parish Relations Committee and Members of First United Methodist Church of Torrance
Dear Beloved Torrance First,
I greet you in the name of the one who says to us, “Peace unto you!”
I am writing to inform you that it is time to say “farewell to Pastor Bob and Marlou.” It is Bishop Minerva G. Carcaño’s intent to appoint The Reverend Robert “Bob” L. Isip to serve as Pastor-In-Charge at Santa Maria First United Methodist Church effective July 1, 2014.
Pastor Bob and his “bride” now take the next step to Santa Maria after a great beginning together at Torrance First. Pastor Bob has been with you for the past eight years and now it is time to say farewell. We can look at the various activities/ministries/issues during these past eight years and know with confidence that much has been accomplished.
In consultation and prayer, the Bishop and Cabinet believe this is the time for transition. I will continue to work with your Staff-Parish Relations Committee during this time of transition and the introduction of your next spiritual leader.
