Dear Family and Friends of First UMC of Torrance,
As we step into the bright month of May, we are truly blessed by the beauty of nature and the warmth of love we celebrate on Mother’s Day. It is a time to honor and celebrate the incredible women in our lives who have nurtured and cared for us with a love that reflects the amazing love of God.
Mother’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on the profound love and sacrifice that mothers embody. In their nurturing embrace, we experience a glimpse of the divine love and care that sustains us through every season of life.
Just as a mother’s love knows no bounds, God’s love for us is limitless and unwavering. It is a love that knows us intimately, cherishes us deeply, and guides us tenderly along life’s journey. It is a love that comforts us in times of troubles and rejoices with us in times of celebration. As we celebrate Mother’s Day, let us take a moment to express our gratitude to the women who have shaped us and molded us with their love.
In that spirit, I would like to share with you that I will be taking a trip to Korea during the second half of May to visit my own parents. They have been facing health challenges, and it is important for me to be by their side during this time. I ask for your prayers for my parents’ health and my travel.
During my absence, our church community will continue to gather and support one another in fellowship and worship. Let us hold each other close in prayer and extend our love and care to those in need.
As we cherish and honor the mothers in our lives, may this month be filled with the sweet fragrance of love, gratitude, and the comforting presence of God’s embrace.
