Reliving Easter Sunday

Greetings, Brothers and Sisters in Christ!

I just got back from cleaning up the Easter Sunday remnants in the sanctuary. The unclaimed Easter lilies have been moved to soak up the sun in the patio, the empty Easter eggs and children’s worship packets were moved to my office and the bits of trash have made their way into the bottom of the trash can. As I walked through, I reflected on the wonder of our Easter services.

The music was awe inspiring all throughout the services. The children were too cute and such a blessing.

The Lord was present from the beginning of the 8:00am service until the last egg had been collected after the 9:30 service.

I keep reliving Sunday and I am reminded of how blessed we are. Thank you to each one of you who helped to make Easter such a wonderful celebration, especially our staff that work so hard throughout the year. Claudia, Bob, and Midori – thank you for sharing your gifts, talents and graces with us and for helping to spiritually lead us as a church body.

But God’s not done yet and the story is not complete. We walk out of the empty grave and into the next chapter of our faith.

We have denied ourselves and disciplined ourselves for 40 days of Lent, how will we now spend 50 days honoring God and celebrating the season of Easter?

Blessings, Pastor Stacy
